Peru - Ski Mountaineering
Peru is home to one of the world's greatest ranges for steep, exposed and technical ski descents - the Cordillera Blanca.
For numerous years, the Blanca was my training ground for ski mountaineering and offered me an opportunity to hone my skills in preparation for larger objectives in the Himalaya. Some of the highlights from the time spent in Peru include the first descent of Tocllaraju's northwest ridge, the first descent of El Scudo "The Shield" on Huascaran, and the 5th descent of Artesonaraju.
